Hailing from roots tracing back to Bosnia and an art career in Des Moines, Iowa, Hasan Tosunbegovic is a self-taught artist with a passion spanning over two decades across diverse artistic mediums. With a keen eye for detail and a heart devoted to creativity, Hasan's journey began with painting and illustration. This love for the arts soon branched into the intricate realms of graphic design, screen printing, and DTG printing.
His early years saw him deepening his craft at Sticks Inc., a Des Moines-based design studio renowned for its handcrafted furniture, accessories, and object art. As a Production Artist, Hasan worked closely with designers, often playing the role of mentor to budding artists, nurturing their skills, and introducing them to the nuances of handcrafted art.
Further embracing the call of entrepreneurship, Hasan founded Inked Star, where he brought his designs to life, illustrating and printing on various apparel. His relentless pursuit of perfection led him to QB (Queen Bee) Studios, where he mastered the art of DTG printing and became an invaluable asset in the production realm.
In 2022, Hasan embarked on a journey as a Full-Time Independent Artist, working from his home-based studio in Des Moines. From here, he curates a wide spectrum of artworks, ranging from paintings to digital creations, all the while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange with fellow artists.
Beyond his hands-on work, Hasan's artistry is showcased in multiple solo and group gallery exhibitions. His works are also revered and displayed in several private collections and businesses throughout the Des Moines metro area.
